Dr. D. Scott McCracken

Dr. D. Scott McCracken, MD, FAAFP, FAWM, is a family physician at WellSpan Community Health Center in York, PA, and serves as a medical director in WellSpan’s Primary Care Service Line. He has a BA from Wesleyan University, earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine, and completed Family Medicine Residency training at York Hospital in York, PA. His professional interests are in clinical care for underserved patients and communities, including community health, LGBTQ+ health, Environmental Health and Climate Change, opioids and addiction, Hepatitis C, HIV, teaching, and workplace safety. He currently serves as the clinical lead for WellSpan’s LGBTQ+ Steering Committee and on WellSpan’s Opioid Peer Review Group, is on the board of directors for the Rainbow Rose Center and the York County Medical Society, and serves as chair of PA Medical Society’s Environmental Health Task Force. Dr. McCracken’s side gig is supporting his family and three busy adolescents in their pursuit of outdoor activities and music.
