Beck Moore
Beck Moore is the CEO of the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP), leading a network of 43 Community Action Agencies dedicated to addressing poverty and its root causes across the Commonwealth. With over 20 years of leadership in the nonprofit sector, Beck is committed to values-based leadership, advocacy, and empowering organizations to drive meaningful change. A specialist in member-based organizations, Beck has a proven track record in membership growth and program development. His work in innovative initiatives within youth-serving organizations earned national recognition. Passionate about the health factors and social connections, Beck frequently educates on workplace culture, challenging assumptions, and the intersection of identity, geography, and health in the context of poverty. Beck holds a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Penn State University and a master’s degree in human resources from the University of Scranton. Actively engaged in state and national leadership, he serves on multiple boards and committees, including the Governor’s Advisory Commission on LGBTQ Affairs, United Way of Pennsylvania, and The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. Beyond his professional work, Beck enjoys fishing, camping, reading, and writing. He treasures time spent with his wife, their two young children, and their three lively dogs. He hopes one day to publish a book, sharing his personal journey of overcoming trauma and embracing authenticity to inspire others on their path to healing.
